Hips and hamstrings: In this challenging, but compact practice class you'll get right to it and explore two main areas of the body that can be restrictive for many people: the hips and hamstrings. You'll experience a short round of warm-up poses preparing the body for a creative sequence alternating
the focus between those two specific areas while still stretching and strengthening the other major areas in the body. This includes warrior 2, extended side angle and triangle; leading into a creative floor routine that includes head to ankle pose, deep lunge work and pigeon. The hamstring work is woven throughout the practice with long standing forward bends, standing splits and floor work that include half and full splits. The class finishes with bridge/wheel, a long seated forward bend, shoulder stand and savasana. Very well-balanced, specific, challenging and effective.
