For those of you who remember Seane's classes back in the day you are going to love this one. For those of you who don't, but want a very strong class...enjoy! It is challenging, fluid and highly motivating with a focus on strengthening the arms, legs and core. She starts off with some pranayama exercises and then sun salutes that build with extra push-ups and core work in between sides. As the heat begins to build, Seane adds a standing sequence of long held poses including Chair, Bear, Half Pigeon Squat, three sets of Warrior 2 each held for 1 minute, two Reverse Warrior sequences that include Extended Side Angle and Side Angle Wrap. There is also a focus on arms balances including Side Arm Balance, Crow and Flying Pigeon. After a floor sequence of one foot balance poses the practice moves into back bends (4 Bridge to Wheels) and a series of supine stretches, hip openers, forward bends (including Cobbler and Double Pigeon), shoulder stand and, of course, savasana. This class is definitely geared towards students who are familiar with the practice and are looking to be guided in a solid, strong and fun flow.
